Our CEO, Tim Reeve, spent more than 30 years working within the construction industry. During that time, he contributed to a wide range of major projects and developed a deep, practical understanding of how the sector operates, its pressures, its pace, and the challenges businesses face on a day-to-day basis.
When Tim eventually stepped away from the industry to retire, he expected to leave construction behind. But it didn’t take long for him to recognise a growing issue that many businesses were struggling to address.

Across the sector, companies were increasingly being asked to measure, report and reduce their carbon emissions. Clients, regulators and supply chains were all placing greater emphasis on decarbonisation, environmental responsibility and transparency. However, many construction businesses simply didn’t have the tools, knowledge or support needed to manage carbon reporting effectively.
For many organisations, the process was confusing, time-consuming and often disconnected from the realities of how construction companies actually operate. Carbon reporting was quickly becoming essential, yet it wasn’t being made simple or practical for the people expected to deliver it.
Seeing this gap and recognising the risk that many capable construction businesses could be left behind, Tim decided to come out of retirement and do something about it.
He founded NZC Solutions with a clear mission: to make carbon reporting straightforward, accessible and genuinely useful for the construction industry. The goal wasn’t just to help businesses meet requirements, but to provide practical tools, guidance and support that fit naturally into the way construction companies work.
